May 2003 -- Elgin Sharks very own Paulina Garcia, freshman, Streamwood High School, took a 4th place finish at the 2003 IHSA Girls State Track & Field meet in the 3200 run. Her time was an outstanding 10:51!! Congratulations, Paulina, on all your hard work!!

Shark Fact
"There are many things we do not know about sharks. We do not know how long sharks live. Or how much food a shark has to eat to stay alive. But we do know that sharks are here to stay. They are fast and strong. They hardly ever get sick. And there is always plenty of food for them. As long as there are oceans, there will be sharks."

It is a known fact that as long as there are tracks and cross-county courses,there will be Elgin Sharks, ever fast, strong and hungry to devour the next runner in their sight!! Go Sharks!!
